Nicole Faltum Girls Cricket Competition

The Central Gippsland Cricket Association was awarded $5,000 in funding from Cricket Australia to support the development of a junior girl’s cricket competition within the CGCA catchment, this includes parts of the Latrobe Valley, Baw Baw and South Gippsland Local Government Areas.

The competition, Nicole Faltum Cricket Competition, will target girls aged from 13 to 18 years, with a focus on skill development, participation and enjoyment. Rules will be adapted to ensure that all competitors have an opportunity to be involved in batting, bowling and fielding.

Nicole is a local cricketing identity with the Trafalgar Cricket Club and has just secured a contract with Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) side, Melbourne Stars. Central Gippsland Cricket Association are very excited to have Nicole on board as an ambassador and this will demonstrate the cricketing pathways available to girls interested in joining the competition.
