White Ribbon Day

Through primary prevention initiatives and an annual campaign, White Ribbon Australia seeks to change the attitudes and behaviours that lead to and perpetuate men’s violence against women, by engaging boys and men to lead social change.

GippSport supports and encourages sporting clubs to become involved in White Ribbon Day.  For more information http://www.whiteribbon.org.au/action

Orange Round

Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault, Gippsland Women’s Health, GippSport and AFL Gippsland partnered to work with the Gippsland League Football Netball Clubs to run a successful ‘Orange Round.’

An adaptation of global initiative Orange Day, which was instigated by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and occurs on the 25th day of every month to raise awareness off and take action to end men’s violence against women and children, Orange Round proved to be a successful project for all involved.
