Nicole Osborne commenced with GippSport on 27 April 2016 as the Program Coordinator for Latrobe City and Baw Baw. Nicole will be based at Latrobe Leisure Moe Newborough and is looking forward to working with community sporting clubs and key stakeholders in the programs funded by VicHealth and Sport and Recreation Victoria. Nicole comes to GippSport from the Gippsland Soccer League where she had been working as an administrator.
SUPPORTING VICTORIAN SPORT AND RECREATION PROGRAM (SVSRP)
GippSport has been guaranteed State Government funding for the 2016-19 to conduct a program called Supporting Victorian Sport and Recreation. The funding amounts to $1.1 million for the three year period.
The Supporting Victoria Sport and Recreation Program aims to support key sport and recreation organizations in addressing the challenges they face, assist them in making the most efficient use of their resources and facilitate the collection of valid data that can support evidence based decision making for their organizations.
The SVSRP will assist the sport and recreation sector to deliver initiatives that align to the Victorian Government priorities of increasing participation in sport and recreation by:
- Building a more sustainable sport and recreation sector in Victoria
- Increasing the equity, diversity and inclusiveness of the sport and recreation sector in Victoria.

The SVSRP program will officially commence on 1 July 2016 after GippSport has signed a single agreement with Sport and Recreation Victoria.
