GippSport Annual General Meeting 2014/15
GippSport recently conducted its Twenty-Fourth Annual General meeting.  The achievements of GippSport for the 2014-15 financial year were highlighted and the organization achieved some excellent outcomes thanks mainly to the fine work of GippSport staff based in Bairnsdale, Sale, Moe Newborough and Inverloch.

This was the final year of the VicHealth Healthy Sporting Environments program which has been replaced by a Regional Sport Program for the next three years. GippSport also delivered the Access for All Abilities Program and the Regional Sport and Recreation Program funded by the Victorian State Government through Sport and Recreation Victoria. Funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, GippSport introduced an innovative social marketing program called Deadly Sport Gippsland to support Aboriginal sport and health in the Gippsland Region. GippSport is a community partner with the Australian Drug Foundation to deliver the Good Sports Program. Currently there are 195 Gippsland sporting clubs involved with this alcohol management program. GippSport also facilitated 20 Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) courses across Gippsland which enabled 415 community sporting club members to gain their RSA certificate.

The Twenty-Fifth GippSport Board of Management was elected for 2015-16 and all positions were filled. The membership is as follows:

Chair: Ricky Ross   Deputy Chair: John Brookes Executive Member: Jamey Mullen

Board Members: Carolyne Boothman, Julie Foat, Ian Murphy, Jane Oakley, Gabrielle McBain (Proxy: Shane Paynter), John Tatterson
