A small but highly excited & motivated contingent of athletes represented our Gippsland region, and although the number of athletes was small the result was a great effort by all of our athletes.

Gippsland continues to grow as Special Olympics region and the dedication and hard work of the athletes shows in the results.

The seasons are progressing and we now move into the winter sports.  Gippsland has a large number of basketballers and is also growing the tenpin bowling team.

Gippsland will be hosting a Regional games in Latrobe City in June for both Tenpin Bowling and Basketball. These games will see approx 200 competitors from around the state travel to our region for the last chance to qualify  and impress state selectors prior to the State Winter games in July.
