Community Grants Program – Bass Coast Shire

The Bass Coast Community Grants Program provides funding to support not-for-profit groups and organisations to deliver projects, programs and events that benefit the local community.

With a total funding pool of $294,000, the program supports initiatives that align with the Council Plan and Climate Change Action Plan, helping build stronger, more sustainable communities.

Funding Streams

Community Grants (twice yearly — March & August)

  • $2,001 to $5,000

  • Major projects up to $10,000 (limited per round)

Quick Response Grants (monthly, except June)

  • Up to $2,000

  • May close early if funds are exhausted

Climate Action Grants

  • $1,000 to $5,000

  • Major projects up to $10,000

Program Objectives

  • Support community services, facilities and events

  • Build organisational capability and financial sustainability

  • Deliver projects aligned with Council strategies

  • Encourage community-led outcomes
