Calling All East Gippsland Clubs: Shire Grants Are Now Open!

Whether you need to upgrade your clubrooms, purchase new safety equipment, or launch a fresh community initiative, the East Gippsland Shire Council has grant opportunities designed specifically to help local groups thrive.

As we gear up for the spring and summer sports season, the latest funding round is officially open! Now is the time to finalize your project details and get your applications in. Here is what you need to keep on your radar:

Funding Categories to Watch

The Council offers funding across different tiers to suit the size of your project:

Community Small Grants (Up to $3,000)

Perfect for minor equipment purchases, small facility upgrades (like powering up your clubrooms), or running local community workshops.

Community Impact Grants ($3,001 to $20,000)

Designed for larger-scale community development or environmental sustainability initiatives. If your club is looking to deliver a significant project that makes a lasting impact, this is the category for you.

How to Get Your Club Ready

Grant deadlines can sneak up quickly! To make sure your committee is prepared to submit a winning application, we recommend taking these three steps today:

Define Your Project

Figure out exactly what your club needs right now. Do you need new uniforms? A clubroom garden project? An electrical upgrade?

Gather Your Documents

Ensure your club’s incorporation status is up to date, your financial records are in order, and you have recent, official quotes for the project costs.

Start Your Application

Head directly to the East Gippsland Shire Council website to review the full grant guidelines and begin your submission through their online portal.
