Gender Equality in Sport = Everybody Wins!
Join us for Gippsland ‘Orange Round’ with the AFL Gippsland League taking a stand against family violence and men’s violence against women and children and showcasing gender equality in sport. It is based on United Nations Orange Day to raise awareness of and take action to end men’s violence against women and children.
The 2018 Orange Round campaign will take place at the Gippsland Football Netball League games over Round 13 (Split Round).
Purpose:
- Challenging of traditional gender roles within sporting clubs
- Raise awareness of the importance of gender equality to prevention violence against women.
- Promote club gender equity work and opportunities.
