The South Gippsland Shire Council Community Grants Program provides funding to community, volunteer, and not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects, programs, and events that benefit the South Gippsland community.
Funding Streams & Categories
Minor Projects & Equipment: $1,000 – $5,000
Festivals & Events: $1,000 – $10,000
Major Projects & Equipment: $5,000 – $10,000
Council generally funds up to 50% of eligible project costs, with applicants providing the remainder. Major projects require prior discussion with the Grants Team.

Council Decision: June Council Meeting
Notification: End of June
Round 1 (for reference):
Applications Open: 1 July
Applications Close: 31 August
Funding is paid once agreements are returned, and acquittals are required after project completion (usually within 12 months).
