The Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program provides funding to support community sport and active recreation organisations across Victoria to recover from unexpected incidents.
This funding helps clubs replace or repair essential playing and first aid equipment that has been lost, damaged or destroyed due to events beyond their control.
Funding Overview
- Grant Amount: Up to $2,000
- Who Can Apply: Not-for-profit community sport and active recreation organisations in Victoria
- Eligible Incidents:
- Natural disasters (bushfire, flood, storms, earthquake)
- Criminal activity (theft, arson, vandalism)
What Can Be Funded
Funding supports the replacement or repair of essential participation equipment, including:
- Playing equipment (e.g. balls, racquets, mats)
- Safety and protective equipment
- First aid equipment such as defibrillators and medical supplies
Key Dates
Applications Open: 2 July 2025
Outcome Notification: Within approximately 5 weeks of applying
Applications Close: 31 May 2026 (or until funding is exhausted)
