Power 2 Pedal program is a bike-riding program for kids and teens with autism. The program will offer participants the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike and include it in their lifestyle with qualified coaches from Ride Nation Gippsland. Not only does it offer the opportunity to ride a bike, but also to build confidence and make new friends too!

(4-week Program)
Level 1 (Beginners): 4PM -4:45PM
Level 2 (Intermediate): 5PM-5:45PM
$40 for all four sessions.
Level 1 (Beginners) is designed for those who are new to bike riding or those who have been riding with training wheels. Focus areas will be balancing, pedalling, steering and braking.
Level 2 (Intermediate) is designed for those who are confident riding but need to refine their skills. Focus areas may be areas such as controlling/turning, braking, scanning, gear changing, hazard awareness.
The group size will be a maximum of 7 participants with 2 coaches. We recommend all participants have someone with them at the program to support their development one to one.
Please note that support staff are not organised through this program.
It is important to be aware that a parent/caregiver is required to attend each session to support their child. This support will enable the coaches to deliver high-quality sessions and it will provide riders with direct assistance to fast-track the development of their skills. The Power 2 Pedal team thank you for your assistance in this area.
It is highly recommended that all riders provide their own helmet for the program. Loan bikes will be available for the program, however, if children have access to their own bike we encourage them to use them instead.
