We had the privilege of chatting with some extraordinary members of the Gippsland sports community for a new project we’re developing. In honour of this year’s IWD theme, “Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender-equal future,” we wanted to share some of the inspiring stories and wisdom we gathered from these remarkable women and girls.

Cracking the code with Gippsland Women

We celebrate the amazing accomplishments of women in all fields, including sports. However, we know that there is still a gender gap in sports participation, funding, and leadership opportunities.
We chatted with Hannah about her experiences in Soccer and creating a brighter future for the next generation of women and girls by actively creating opportunities and breaking down barriers that hold them back.

Empowering Girls Through Surf and Yoga - Phillip Island Boardriders Club Launches New Program

President Hannah Eisen and the Phillip Island Boardriders Club committee recognised the significance of providing opportunities for women and girls to participate in the sport of surfing. That’s why they created the Surf & Yoga Program for Girls, which empowers women and girls within the local community, thanks to funding from Change Our Game and Bass Coast Shire Council.
