Together More Active
GippSport, is funded by Sport and Recreation Victoria, to increase overall participation in sport and recreation across Gippsland. The Together More Active program supports greater participation outcomes by focusing on two overarching themes:
- Building a more sustainable sport and recreation sector
- Increasing the equity, diversity and inclusiveness of the sport and recreation industry
Club Development for Gippsland Clubs
One key objective of the Together More Active Program is to build a more resilient, connected and sustainable sport and recreation sector across Gippsland that is supported by a capable volunteer and paid workforce. Specific activities that GippSport staff can deliver through this program include:
- Supporting the Gippsland sport and recreation community through the provision of specialist club development advice and one to one support.
- Supporting the Gippsland sport and recreation community through the provision of work development opportunities (workshops)
- Working in partnership with Local Government, and Sport and Recreation Victoria teams, to activate targeted sports infrastructure projects such as club based participation action plans
Support Gippsland clubs, leagues, and associations by offering specialist club development advice and one to one support.

- Providing good governance advice, information and resources
- Providing advice regarding grant applications and letters of support
- Providing advice regarding club constitutions and making correct decisions
Support Gippsland clubs, leagues, and associations through workforce development opportunities (workshops)

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: People with disability (AAA)

- Establishing and supporting inclusive and sustainable participation opportunities targeting people with a disability
- Supporting the sport and recreation and disability community through the provision if specialist inclusion (AAA) advice and one to one support
- Supporting the sport and recreation community through the provision of specialist inclusion (AAA) advice and work development opportunities (workshops)
