Traralgon Croquet Club were the beneficiaries of a VicHealth’s Active Club Grant to launch a social twilight competition. The twilight program aimed at both men and women to build social connectedness along with promoting croquet to the local community.
VicHealth’s Active Club Grants make a significant contribution to the Victorian community by improving the health of Victorians. Building on the momentum generated by successful This Girl Can – Victoria campaign, Traralgon Croquet Club also received additional funding to help promote the campaign to the local community, which will highlight the importance of providing a welcoming environment for women and girls to get active.
“Try” Croquet sessions will be available for anyone looking to learn more about the sport. The try croquet information night and BBQ will be held on Wednesday, 18 September 2019 at 7 pm followed by a Try Croquet Day on Sunday, 6 October 2019 at 10 am.
The twilight program will commence on Wednesday 9 October 2019 at 6:30 pm for a 10 week season concluding with an end of season celebration fun night BBQ on Wednesday, 4 December 2019.
Traralgon Croquet Club encourages people with work and family commitment during the weekday and over the weekend to take to time out for themselves and pursue the sport of croquet, “we welcome everyone to attend from experienced to beginners – all players will be learning together”
