Club member engagement is the driving force of retention, so it is important that you do what you can to stay connected. Club members choose to renew their membership not just due to the club’s prices and facilities, but also because they feel like they are part of a community.

This means getting your members involved in every aspect of the club, whether it is in-club, online or through mobile devices. By ensuring you cater to every club demographic and adapt the way you target different customers, you can help to drive engagement and increase retention.

Here are some of the ways Gippsland sporting clubs are to keep their members engaged on social media:

  1. Player Profiles
Churchill United SC showcasing both past and presents players. https://www.facebook.com/CUSCRams/posts/3036214989732951
  2. Thursday Dinners replaced with Live streaming of local music
Morwell Football Netball Club have replaced their social rooms Thursday night meals with Live streaming of local Gippsland musicians. https://www.facebook.com/events/2911468678889872/
  3. Video challenges for members

  4. Club History
Boisdale/Briagolong Football Netball Club are asking members to help fill in the missing information about the clubs history.

These are all fantastic ideas. We have been doing weekly Zoom catch ups and group challenges to complete each week with both senior and junior players.
