Executive Officer
GippSport has a position for a highly motivated and innovative Executive Officer to lead successful implementation of the GippSport Strategic Plan. This will include leading and managing up to 10 staff members.
GippSport (Regional Sports Assembly) is a leading agency in the Gippsland Region aiming to encourage and foster participation in sport and physical activity for people of all abilities.
The successful applicant will be required to have a wide range of management and interpersonal skills. An understanding of the principles of community development and inclusive practices is essential. A detailed knowledge of the sport and recreation industry and of the structure and operations of grass roots sporting clubs would be an advantage. Some travel and some evening and weekend work will definitely be required.
GippSport’s Head Office is located at Newborough with other offices in Bairnsdale, Sale and Inverloch.
Applicants should have an appropriate tertiary qualification in Health Promotion/Community Development/Sports Management or substantial relevant experience.
