Latrobe City Roller Derby hosts the 2017 Victorian Roller Derby Tournament

The thrills and spills of live Roller Derby are coming to the Latrobe Valley!

Following a very successful hosting of the 2016 Grand Final event, Latrobe City Roller Derby are excited to host Round 7 of the ‘Statewide Stampede’ Victorian Roller Derby competition on Saturday August 5th at Stadium 34 in Moe. Latrobe City Roller Derby’s very own Messacre and Rolling Matilda’s Captain, Maulin Brando, will gear up for Team Regional Victoria to take on the might of Ballarat Roller Derby League’s Rat Pack in Game 3 at 1.50pm.

Join the Latrobe City Roller Derby for 4 games of crashing, skill and athleticism, team work and strategy at play as well as a fun developmental scrimmage, in this unique one day event. Latrobe City Roller Derby will be showcasing local businesses in our market stalls inside the stadium as well as their infamous ‘Epic Raffle’. This family focused community event will have plenty of activities for the kids, giveaways, and trackside seating available, and all are invited to come along and enjoy the day. With the continued support of Latrobe City Council, Moe Racing Club and the Department of Sport and Recreation Victoria, funds raised from this event will help Latrobe City Roller Derby in their efforts to renovate their Traralgon training ‘shed’ and to fund new developmental programs for Gippslander’s wishing to try out this ‘sport with a difference’.

Event will run from 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM at Stadium 34 in Moe, with further event information available on the Latrobe City Roller Derby Facebook page.

Statewide Stampede is proudly supported by Skate Victoria.
