Local sports and active recreation organisations are invited to apply for funding under the Latrobe Valley Authority’s Strategic Planning Grants.
Grants of up to $6000 will be available to assist local sports and active recreation organisations across the Latrobe City, Baw Baw and Wellington Shires to develop or update their strategic plan.
The grants program forms part of the Latrobe Valley Sports and Community Initiative, an $85 million investment by the State Government in sports and community infrastructure, events and associated support programs being delivered by the Latrobe Valley Authority.
The Sport and Active Recreation Strategic Planning Grants Program aims to strengthen and build robust, resilient, sustainable and inclusive sport and recreation organisations in the Latrobe Valley region.
Sport and active recreation plays a significant role in contributing to an ‘Active & Healthy’ region and these grants aim to assist local clubs and organisations improve their effectiveness and efficiency, build capacity, and identifying opportunities for the future.
A key focus for these grants will be to encourage the sport and active recreation sector to increase the opportunities for diverse and inclusive participation in all aspects of their organisation, including players, coaches, administration and leadership.
