Come and Try Rowing

Bairnsdale Rowing Club will be running FREE come and try rowing this school holidays.

The session will involve an introduction to rowing followed by a demonstration of the rowing technique on the rowing machine. After learning the fundamentals, participants will be placed in crews with club members for a row on the Mitchell River.

Date: Wednesday 25 September
Time:  9:30am – 4pm
Location: The boatshed at Howitt Park Recreational Reserve, 2 McEachern Street, Bairnsdale

Participants need to wear clothing that is appropriate for the sport. Bring a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen. Participants must be able to swim at least 50m. The riverbank at the launch landing is well grassed and provides good visability of the activity on the water for spectators.
