United Muslim Sisters of Latrobe Valley's Iftar Dinner: Fostering Unity Through Shared Experience
On Saturday, March 16th, GippSport had the privilege of supporting the United Muslim Sisters of Latrobe Valley (UMSLV) at their annual Iftar Dinner held at the Trafalgar Public Hall. This event, which coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, provided an opportunity for members of the Muslim community to come together in fellowship and solidarity.
As part of our commitment to promoting active lifestyles and community engagement, GippSport provided sporting activities for the youth attendees. From tag and dodgeball to AFL Football and Soccer, the evening was filled with laughter, teamwork, and healthy competition. The joy and camaraderie shared on the sports field exemplified the spirit of unity that permeated the event.
Cultural Fiesta: Celebrating Diversity at Kay Street Gardens
On Saturday, March 23rd, GippSport continued its mission of promoting inclusivity by participating in a Cultural Fiesta held at the Kay Street Gardens. This vibrant celebration of different cultures and backgrounds welcomed people of all ages and ethnicities to join in a day of festivities and cultural exchange.
As part of our contribution to the event, GippSport delivered a Street Games program that provided participants with opportunities to engage in fun and interactive sports activities. From Bocce to Spike Ball, our Street Games program encouraged physical activity, teamwork, and friendly competition, while also fostering cross-cultural connections and understanding.
