Female Football Festival Event – West Gippsland

GippSport is very excited to partner with Warragul United Soccer Club (WUSC) to host the Female Football Festival Event – West Gippsland at Baxter Park in Warragul.  WUSC has been working hard over the last few years to increase participation by women and girls at the club and has received funding through a Change Our Game Community Activation Grant and a Baw Baw Shire Council Community Grant to facilitate the event.

Event planning has been underway for some time and we have been able to partner with Football Victoria as part of the Female Football February initiative.  All of the clubs in Baw Baw Shire have also joined together to support the event as we lead into the 2022 season.

The event is a FREE local festival to promote, support, educate and showcase women and girls soccer in West Gippsland.   This fun-filled festival will feature opportunities to meet local clubs, have a kick and learn more about where and how women and girls of all ages and abilities can participate as players, coaches, referees and volunteers.

We will also have special guests Monique Hanley- Change Our Game Ambassador, Jane Oakley- local legend and former Matilda and Anouk Meereboer- Gippsland’s leading women’s football coach at the event.

This event is co-hosted by Warragul United Soccer Club, Gippsland FC, Drouin Dragons Soccer Club and Trafalgar Victory Football Club, with the support of GippSport.
