GippSport Joins Forces with Volunteering Gippsland to Boost Community Engagement

In a significant move to enhance community engagement and support volunteerism in Gippsland, GippSport is proud to announce their role as lead partner of the Volunteering Gippsland initiative. This innovative digital platform is dedicated to connecting volunteers with community organisations across the region.

Volunteering Gippsland is revolutionising the way volunteers and organisations interact thanks to grant funding received from the Australian Government. This platform is designed to enrich Gippsland’s volunteer culture through discussion, collaboration, and innovative solutions. It serves as a comprehensive volunteer management portal aimed at streamlining the volunteering process, fostering collaboration, and celebrating the invaluable contributions of volunteers.

With Volunteering Gippsland, volunteers and volunteer organisations alike now have access to a centralised platform that caters to all their needs. Volunteers can easily search for positions that match their interests and skills, while community organisations can efficiently manage their volunteering recruitment, engagement, and recognition efforts.

Volunteering Gippsland assists organisations by streamlining administrative tasks, freeing up valuable time to allow them to focus on their cause. The user-friendly interface and support make managing volunteer bases seamless.

For volunteers, Volunteer Gippsland opens up a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth. By matching volunteers with organisations aligned with their passions and skills, the platform ensures a rewarding volunteering experience. Volunteers will be able to explore a wide range of roles tailored to their interests and have the flexibility to volunteer within their community or extend their reach across Gippsland.

“We are thrilled to introduce Volunteering Gippsland to the community,” said Cassie Atkinson, Volunteer Coordinator leading the Volunteering Gippsland initiative. “Volunteering Gippsland’s goal is to provide a user-friendly platform that empowers both volunteers and organisations, making it easier than ever to connect, collaborate, and make a positive impact in Gippsland.”

Volunteering Gippsland unites discussion, collaboration, and innovative solutions to support volunteer involvement. Through partnerships with local Gippsland non-profits like GippSport, Lifeline Gippsland, the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY), Interchange Gippsland, and Volunteering Victoria, the platform builds capacity and rewarding experiences for every volunteer and community organisation.

GippSport’s Community Programs & Partnerships Manager, Karen Ferguson, stated, “This innovative platform is making it easier for volunteer involving organisations, sporting clubs, and community groups across Gippsland to connect with passionate volunteers. As a partner in this initiative, GippSport is excited to play a role in enriching our region’s volunteer culture.”

Volunteering Gippsland encourages all volunteers and volunteer organisations in the region to visit the website and explore its features by visiting volunteeringgippsland.com.au.
